Weaving the Unicorn charts the story of the Stirling Tapestry project, the biggest undertaken in the UK in over 100 years and part of the Palace project to return the interiors of the Royal Palace of James V to how they may have looked in the 1540s.
This 14 year project brought together 18 weavers from across the globe to recreate the series of seven Hunt of the Unicorn tapestries. And the exhibition, which is being hosted in the castle's former Tapestry Studio, will give visitors an insight into the craft, skill and historical research that went into the project.
The loom where the weavers sat will play host to video footage of the weavers creating the work, their individual stories will be told on panels dotted around the studio along with samples of tapestry that explain the skill and commitment that went into every piece.
