Mary of Guise became the wife of James V in 1538. By the end of 1542 she was a widow determined to protect the throne for her daughter, Mary, Queen of Scots.
It is now 1554 and Mary of Guise has just been created Queen Regent of Scotland. Come along and hear her remarkable and often overlooked story.
